Welcome to the first Provocative Phrase Friday. The concept is very simple. I provide 12 random phrases or short sentences that you can use as creative writing exercises or story starters if you happen to be suffering from a slight case writer’s block. This also includes a Provocative Photo. (Not THAT kind of photo… get your mind out of the gutter.) A Provocative Photo is a photo that seems to be telling you a story–an interesting place, person (or people), or situation for you to write about.

If a picture is worth a thousand words then one of my Provocative Photos has to be worth at least two to three thousand words.
